It's where our office is, so it's got to be a great place!

Haywards Heath is a modern town, branded the economic powerhouse of Mid Sussex, that's got everything. Only an hour from London and half an hour from Gatwick Airport, yet nestled between the Ashdown Forest, South Downs and Brighton, it has a fantastic central setting, combining urban and rural.

Restaurants and Pubs

Haywards Heath is home to all manner of eateries, from Friday night favourite Fish and Chips to Spanish tapas. Here are some of our suggestions:

.Jeremy's Restaurant serving modern classics working with nature

.Cafe Rouge the all-day French bistro

.Italian favourite Zizzi

.Cote Brasserie serving regional French dishes

.Spanish Tapas Bar La Campana

.The Beech Hurst grill

.Curry Inn for a taste of India

.Lemongrass serving all the favourite Thai staples

Haywards Heath is also surrounded by Mid Sussex villages with their plethora of quaint, traditional pubs.

Amenities

For shopping you have the high street as well as The Orchards, home to staples including Marks and Spencer, Next and Superdrug amongst many others.

For food shopping there is Tesco Express, Marks and Spencer, Sainsbury's Local and a Sainsbury's Superstore to chose from, as well as local produce delis and grocers.

Clair Hall is the artistic heart of Haywards Heath, being used as a cinema, comedy club, concert hall and theatre throughout the year.

For fitness lovers their are several gyms and swimming pools, as well as Lindfield Golf Course only a 10 minute drive away. It's the home to Haywards Heath Rugby Football Club, Haywards Heath Town Ladies Football Club and the St. Francis Rangers, as well as multiple tennis courts, rugby and football pitches. There is an extensive network of cycle paths and you can enjoy a picturesque route between Haywards Heath and the adjacent village of Cuckfield.

The appeal to many people wanting to move to Haywards Heath is of course having the luxury of living outside the city yet having access to the fast link rail network to both Brighton and London.

Nightlife

Orange Square, Qba and Savannah are all lively evening bars in the centre of the town.

Walks and Gardens

Nestled in intimate gardens and Sussex Weald woodland, you will find the internationally recognised plant collection Nymans Park.

Revel in the astounding views across the Sussex High Weald at Borde Hill Gardens.

Being in Haywards Heath you are never far away from a beautiful countryside stroll, whether that be a leisurely stroll around Victoria Park, a picnic in the Ashdown Forest or a scramble up the South Downs. Here at Hamptons we definitely suggest a walk to Balcombe to take in the awe inspiring architecture of the Ouse Valley Viaduct.

Family Fun

Beech Just Park Miniature Railway are small on train size but huge on fun! Fun Pots is a pottery painting studio that is a definite family favourite.

Victoria Park is now home to a splashpad; adventure play equipment, paddling pool, skatepark, basketball are and ping pong table.
